Capt. Ross Gallagher
Thanks to his family, Ross has been fishing since he could hold a rod in reel. In fact he has his first fish caught at age 3, a 4” blue gill on his wall, that was mounted for him by his Grandfather. Growing up in Eastern Iowa, Ross spent countless hours fishing local lakes, ponds and rivers for largemouth bass, crappie and channel catfish.
Skip ahead 25 years, Ross is now an accomplished Master Captain and fishing industry professional living in Southwest Florida. His guiding career has been shared between Florida and Alaskan waters. His clients had impressive catches of Pacific Halibut, Ling Cod, Rockfish and Salmon during his years guiding in Alaska.
Wandering his way through the endless back country of Pine Island Sound and Matlacha, Ross considers himself a snook and redfish enthusiast, although he still spends countless summer mornings sight fishing for large tarpon roaming along the sandy beaches of Sanibel and Captiva Islands. His career as a professional in the marine industry has opened up many new opportunities for world class angling, traveling and networking.
