*UPDATE 10/7/2015* The Work Sharp Knife Sharpener is still running strong. I’ll sharpened my quiver of knives about every 4 months and they continue to hold an edge through heavy use. So far, it looks like one sharpening belt will last for about a year of occasional use (8-10 knives 3 times a year). I haven’t noticed any damage or signs of improper sharpening on the blades. A+++ Product.

As an avid angler and outdoors man, I’m constantly using knives. If your filleting fish, chopping bait or preparing the catch in the kitchen, having a sharp knife is not only makes the job easier, but also safer. Recently I was able to get my hands on the Work Sharp Brand Knife and Tool Sharpener – Ken Onion Edition. I had asked around to a few friends and the reviews sounded promising.

After sharpening my first 3 blades, I can already tell this is an excellent tool. It quickly put a great edge on some old kitchen knives. After I got a handle on operating the machine, I ran one of my favorite filet knifes across the belts. The edge was sticky sharp and ready for the boat.
